Across cultures and lands, the relationship between our Plant Kin and Humankind has always been part of our evolution. Long before modern healthcare or the wellness industry, people gathered in sacred circle with the Plant Kingdom. Plants were not just resources, they were teachers, elders, medicine and a portal of connection to the wisdom of the Earth and Cosmos.

Through the ages we, especially modern times, we have become profoundly disassociated from the land and its ancient wisdom. Humanity has and is experiencing divisive societal constructs, distressing global events, cultural diaspora, technological slumber, and ecological grief.

Yet simultaneously, there is a boom in interest in healing with plant medicine. Psychotropic plant medicine ceremonies have moved into mainstream wellness industry and more people than ever are seeking them out, often travelling to other countries and traditions to find them.

In this landscape we have seen how working with only psychotropic plants from other lands can lead to a lack in relationship with the land we stand upon and can leave participants without embodied presence in the ordinariness of our day-to-day lives. We deeply respect these Master Plants and the traditions they come from. However in the West, we have seen how the mainstream psychotropic plant movement has perhaps given the impression that we need an induced altered state for deep and profound healing to happen when working with the Plant Kingdom.

We know this isn’t true.

Psychotropic plants are not the whole picture of the Plant Kingdom. Our ‘everyday’ plants and trees are waiting to begin speaking with us. The non-psychotropic plants and trees are calling us into our body and our innate sensitivities so that we may continue the sacred journey of relationship with them. Offering transformational personal healing and intimacy with our landscape.

People are feeling this call to be in deeper rel, towards slower ways of knowing, towards forms of ceremony and healing that ask for presence rather than intensity. People are seeking something grounded, slow growing like an ancient Oak, deeply rooted in our conscious presence and awareness, where the ordinary becomes extraordinary and each moment of life feels like magic. With this growing interest comes a deeper need for practitioners who walk this path with care, humility, and integrity.

For over a decade each, we have held ceremonies with the non-psychotropic plants of the world, passionately pioneering a grounded approach to plant medicine. We have been weaving the deep ritual of shamanic practice with the accessible healing power of non-psychotropic plants, listening to their ancient wisdom and sharing their spiritual medicine. With strong guidance from the Plant Kingdom, we feel it is time for us to share the harvest of all that we have experienced. To plant seeds with those who are already on their awakening journey and are called to the sacred path of Plant Kingdom service.

The Shamanic Plant Ceremonialist Practitioner Training offers a way into working with non-psychotropic plants as allies in healing ceremony. It invites a form of transformation rooted in relationship, in listening, in the intelligence that already exists within our body and the local natural world. Through this training, you learn to recognise the healing magic of plants that grow on our doorstep and to work with them as allies in the unfolding of your inner change. You begin to develop the capacity to hold space for others in a way that is steady and attuned, grounded in ethical awareness and respect for the processes that arise. This path returns to something more subtle yet equally powerful.

At a time where people are searching for meaning and belonging, it feels more important than ever to sit in a circle, listen to the Plant Kingdom and Grandmother Earth, and remember how to heal ourselves. These ceremonial spaces are lifelines. For many, these practices have restored their sense of purpose and local belonging.

There is a growing need for this kind of work.

Ceremonial spaces that do not overwhelm the system, but support it. Experiences that do not take people away from themselves, but bring them closer. We see a huge opportunity in the current nature-connection, shamanism, and wellness boom. Forest bathing, herbalism, and cold-water swimming have moved beyond the fringes and are now recognised as essential for wellbeing.

Grounded, non-psychotropic ceremonial spaces are finding their way into the mainstream too.

This is not a path of quick results. It asks you to slow down, to deepen your perception and personal practice, and to build a relationship with the land you stand on and the Plant Allies you walk past every single day.
